This page explains what data Easymode uses, why we use it, and what choices you have.
1) What we collect
- Account information - your email address and basic profile details so you can sign in and use your account.
- Things you add - tasks, notes, and chat messages you enter.
- Technical and security information - limited request, app version, platform, and security-log data needed to keep Easymode working and protect it from abuse.
- Subscription and billing information - subscription status and payment confirmations. We don't store raw card details.
- Cookies and analytics - essential cookies to keep the service working, plus analytics only if you consent.
- Advertising measurement - on our Android app, we share information with Meta to measure and improve our advertising. We share your device information such as manufacturer and model, operating system, IP address, and unique identifiers of the device. For purchases we may also share the subscription value. The information we share may vary based on your device type and settings. We never share your name, email address, account ID, tasks, notes, or chats.
2) How we use it
We use your data to run Easymode, show and sync your tasks, power AI features, send essential account emails, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure. We may also use your email address to send occasional Easymode product updates, tips, offers, surveys, or feedback requests. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
We do this to provide the service you've asked for, meet our legal obligations, protect the service from abuse, and, where needed, because you've given consent.
We don't sell your personal data for money. To measure and improve our advertising, we share the information described above with Meta; under certain regulations such sharing may be considered a 'sale' of personal information. You have choices about this - see "Your choices and rights" below.
Some trusted providers help us deliver the service:
- OpenAI and Google Gemini - for AI-powered features
- Hosting, authentication, email, and analytics providers - for infrastructure, communications, and product insights
- Meta - to measure and improve our advertising campaigns
- Google Play - for Android subscriptions and billing
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK or EEA, but we use providers that offer approved safeguards for those transfers.
3) AI features
Easymode uses paid AI services from OpenAI and Google. Content sent to those services through Easymode is not used to train their models.
4) How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it to run the service, meet legal or accounting requirements, and handle security or support issues.
If you delete your account, your data is removed from active systems and then disappears fully once our normal backup retention period expires.
5) Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing support@easy-mode.app. We aim to respond to data rights requests within one month.
You can also contact us at support@easy-mode.app if you have a concern or complaint about how we handle your personal data.
Need something removed? Email support@easy-mode.app and we'll take care of it.
If you gave consent for analytics cookies, you can change that choice at any time.
You can opt out of non-essential emails - product updates, tips, offers, surveys, or feedback requests - at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting support@easy-mode.app. We may still send essential service emails, such as account, security, billing, subscription, trial, or legal notices.
Advertising measurement. You may be able to limit it through your device's advertising settings (on Android, "Opt out of Ads Personalization") or Meta's own ad settings, though this varies by device. If you wish to opt out, we recommend updating these settings prior to using the app, to ensure they take effect before signals such as your app install are sent.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
6) Children
Easymode is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll investigate and remove it if needed.
7) Updates
If we update this page, we'll post the new version here and update the "last updated" date.
